Structural

The government alters institutional structures in response to data-driven transformation.

In response to the shifting needs of a digital society, governments should evolve new bureaucratic structures to accommodate new responsibilities and activities. A structural approach to data governance involves creating or adapting existing institutional structures to take advantage of data as an asset, share data, and figure out innovative ways to extract value from data. Governments around the world are establishing new positions and bodies and constructing new digital architectures that enable novel and innovative ways to use and re-use the nation’s data.
